2026-2027 Wintergreen Passes
Hello everyone,
What a memorable 2025–2026 season! From the surprisingly great early-December snow that got us off to an early start, to that unforgettable powder day that closed things out, it really felt like a special year on the mountain. Thank you to everyone who joined in — we hope you were able to get up there often and enjoy it.
Looking ahead:
We plan to continue the Wintergreen discounted pass program next season — please hold off on purchasing a Mission Affordable Pass while we finalize details.
We’re evaluating pass options (e.g., 4-pack with lessons, 4-pack only, season pass) and working to improve logistics.
Check out our new website: cvilleskiclub.org.
We’re considering organizing an overnight trip to Timberline Mountain- interested? Please email us!
We’ll be looking for parent volunteers to help host meet-ups next season.
Please send us your feedback on the season — we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks again for being part of such a great season, and feel free to spread the word to friends who may want to join us next year!
Best,
Charlottesville Ski Club
Note: This is our first year of an all volunteer group of Charlottesville City Schools parents. Please be forgiving as we work out any kinks! And feel free to provide feedback :)
1/15/26 Update: 4-packs are not valid on Jan 16-18, 24, 31, Feb 7, 13-16, 21, 28, Mar 7
12/15/25 Update 2: Apparently, the 4-packs may only be good starting Sunday, January 4, 2026. We are confirming with Wintergreen tomorrow! See flyer calendar on page 2.
12/15/25 Update: Ski pass pick-up hours are strictly limited to 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. Pass pick-up is at the Wintergreen group sales office - this is in the breezeway under the Coppermine Restaurant, near to the bus stop/drop off semi-circle. Do NOT go to the ticket booth. The ticket booth cannot distribute passes to school groups. Participants arriving after 3:00 PM will not be able to receive their ski pass - if they start night skiing this week and you arrive after 3pm, you will not be able to pick up your pass.
12/14/25 Update: Even if you already have an RFID card, one person from your family will still need to stop by the office below. They need to verify dates of birth and match the WTP number with what is in the system. (My daughter had two guest registrations in their system.)
12/10/25 Update from Wintergreen:
Your group members are welcome to stop by any day, Monday through Sunday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to pick up their passes. Please ensure that their profiles and waivers are completed beforehand. If not, they’ll need to fill them out on their cell phones upon arrival. Completing these at our desks takes considerable time, especially with other guests waiting, so having them done in advance will make the process much smoother.
Pick up at the office of Conference Sales & Services. We are NOT located in the ticketing building at all. Totally different building. In the breezeway, under the Coppermine restaurant. Next to the restrooms. There is a sign outside of our office "School Group Pass Pick-Up." Tell them you are in the Charlottesville City Schools group.

Each guest needs to have an RFID card on a person to pass through the gates. Reloadable cards are not transferable between participants for new use.
Carry RFID cards on the left-side of each person, between 24” to 48” above the snow for the Axess Gate to read the card.
Keep RFID cards in a pocket by themselves, no other RFID cards, cell phones, coins, or metal wrappers.
DO NOT punch holes into your RFID card, this destroys the antenna.
DO NOT let others use your RFID card. It is non-transferable and your skiing/riding privileges may be revoked.
The replacement fee is $29 for lost season pass, the group leader reports lost pass to Ski Group Services only.

Wintergreen is about an hour from Charlottesville. If you haven't been before, the mountaintop can be a bit confusing. Note that you park at the top of the mountain and ski down (many ski resorts have the village at the bottom and you ski up). If you go on a Saturday, it is recommended that you get parked by 8:30am to get your rentals and get on the slopes when they open at 9am. It can be VERY busy.
